The origins of art or why are humans creative (article)

I came across an interesting piece about the origins of art and the human urge to be creative through Frieze Magazine today.

The article – originally from Harvard Magazine– attempts to find an answer as to why and how creative thinking evolved and how does it help us. Although at points the article’s conclusions are a bit more than debatable it’s still worth a read since it lists the most accepted theories in contemporary science in connection with how creativity evolved. The statements presented there are good materials for further thought and research.
